It was not jam packed inside but there were a lot of people. It was a sunny April day and lots of people were outdoors. It was a bit confusing but filling out form was easy and we had virtually no wait even though we filled out the form once we got to the entrance.
#CREATE YOUR OWN CANDY BAR WRAPPER FREE#
We got to the parking entrance gates and learned we had to go online to get free entrance tickets which were being spaced time apart to avoid overcrowding during covid. We were nearby on our way home from a Gettysburg day trip and decided to refresh our home stash of chocolate. Make sure you take your time here and enjoy it! Masks were not required for vaccinated individuals, in case you were wondering about that as well. We loved it here, I wish that we had done some more of the activities but with it being the holiday weekend everything sold out very quickly, we were lucky to be able to add on Unwrapped for the same day. My husband loves these, and they weren't expensive either! They also have pressed pennies in a few different places. We walked away with so much chocolate and candy! Prices were not terribly expensive, and actually cheaper than Amazon on a lot of the items. My youngest got a kitkat smore ($9) a birthday cake shake ($8) the shake was very sweet, definitely for young kids, the smore was also good and huge! We also got 2 jolly rancher slushies ($5 each) a pineapple and blue raspberry both delicious, and we purchased a pretzel ($14) at first a $14 pretzel stopped us in our tracks, but it was HUGE! Fed all 4 of us easily, and comes with chocolate, cheese and a honey mustard. We of course had to try some food as well. It was great! Singing cows, and Hershey Kisses etc, cute and my boys loved this!! At the end you receive a mini size Hershey bar. The tour was awesome! We didn't do this until right before we left, but it was so neat! You walk and get to read alot of history about the company, and then you get on a moving car and it brings you through and breaks the factory down for you and teaches you. If you have younger children, I think that they would enjoy it more, my 8 year old said it was ok. The candy wasn't anything different, it was mini but it made you slow down and not just shove candy in your mouth and move on. My 6 year old loved this! He said that it was his favorite part. My husband thought that it was over priced, which it was, but it's also Hershey so I didn't expect it not to be.

I believe this cost us around $60 for 2 adults and 2 kids. We added on Unwrapped because my boys saw that you tasted candy.

It's a little pricey, but my husband and I believed that it was totally worth it. They even got to design their own candy bar wrapper which was really neat too. They loved being able to select what they wanted and to watch it be made. The make your own candy bar wasn't exactly what I had expected, but when it comes down to it, they need to keep everything simple and moving. This place is amazing!! I had originally only purchased "make your own candy bar" and we decided to add on "Unwrapped." We spent over 4 hours here and we could have spent so much more time!
